Spot-clean with a damp cloth. Hang to refresh the velvet pile. Avoid the washing machine, which will flatten the velvet over time. For a deeper clean, very gentle hand wash on cold; do not wring; lay flat to dry. Velvet softens with use and deepens with age — yours will look better at year five than year one.
Each piece is printed onto plush cotton velvet, then quilted by hand. You'll see small variations — print alignment, pile direction, where the dye sank deeper into the weave. The velvet catches light differently depending on where the pile sits. These are not flaws; they're the signature of real handcraft.
