New In — The Latest from Rajasthan
Fresh prints, new colourways, and the pieces our makers have just finished stitching. We add to the range every few weeks — sometimes a brand new print, sometimes a familiar pattern in a new palette, sometimes an entirely new piece (cushions joined the range this way, the yoga bag started as a single sample). This is where you'll find them first.
How often we refresh New In
Roughly every 2-4 weeks, depending on when our workshops finish their next batch. CYC doesn't drop weekly. The pace is set by craft: a new print takes weeks to design, get carved into blocks, dye-match across colourways, hand-print across a roll of cloth, hand-quilt into bags, and finally photograph for the site.
The result: every piece in New In is genuinely new — not a re-shuffled SKU. If something appears here, it didn't exist on our website last month.
What you'll see in New In
The collection tends to cluster around themes — a season, a print family, a colour story:
-
Seasonal print launches — the new heritage motif we've been working on. Recent additions include the Leopard family and the Mouse Tiger Collection.
-
New colourways of beloved prints — the Tibetan Tiger Tote in a colourway we haven't done before, the Striped Cotton Weekender in a new palette.
-
Newly launched product categories — when a new piece type joins the range. Recent example: cushions.
-
Reshoots of existing favourites — same piece, new lifestyle photography. The bags themselves are unchanged.
How to shop New In well
If you've found CYC for the first time, the bestsellers usually tell the most coherent story (start with the Bestsellers collection). New In is better for repeat customers — people who already own a CYC piece and want to know what's just launched in their favourite print family or material.
A few principles for shopping new releases:
Limited colourways. Some New In pieces are made in very small batches — once a particular colourway sells through, it might be six months before we bring it back. If you love it, it's worth not waiting.
The print is the lasting thing. Colourways come and go; the print itself usually stays. If you're drawn to a print but not the specific colourway, check the full collection — the Tibetan Tiger, Jungle, Stripes, Leopard, and Suzani prints all have permanent colourways alongside the seasonal ones.
Match with what you already own. If you have a Tibetan Tiger Tote, the matching Velvet Tibetan Tiger Tote, Velvet Weekender, or Tibetan Tiger Velvet Cushion completes the set. The collection is designed to coordinate.
Want to be first to see new releases?
The fastest way: subscribe to our email list at the bottom of any page. We email subscribers first when New In drops, often with a 24-48 hour head start before the public launch. Subscribers also get the only access to limited-batch pieces that don't always make it to the public catalogue.
For the slowest, most considered way: bookmark this page. Check back every few weeks. Trust that what's added has been considered carefully.
What's NOT in New In
A few clarifications:
Restocks of permanent pieces don't always appear in New In. If we re-order our most-loved Striped Cotton Tote in Brown and White, that's a restock — visible on the product page but not always flagged as "New In." If you're tracking restocks of a specific piece, the product page is the source of truth.
Sale pieces aren't here. See the Best of the Sale for currently-discounted pieces.
Sold-out colourways aren't removed immediately. If a colourway sold out yesterday, it might still appear here for a day or two while we update the catalog. The product page tells you what's actually in stock.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often does CYC add new pieces?
Roughly every 2-4 weeks. We don't follow a weekly drop schedule — the pace is set by how fast our workshops in Rajasthan can finish each batch, since every piece is handmade and hand-stitched.
Are New In pieces limited edition?
Some are — especially seasonal colourways. Many "New In" pieces become permanent additions to the range; others run for a few months and don't return. The product page tells you whether something is permanent or one-batch.
How do I be first to see new releases?
Subscribe to our email list (at the bottom of any page). Subscribers get a 24-48 hour head start on most launches.
Why do new colourways take so long?
Each new colourway requires: design (weeks), block carving (days-weeks), dye-matching (multiple rounds), hand-printing across a roll of cloth (days), hand-quilting into bags (days), and photography. Slow craft, long timelines.
Will sold-out colourways come back?
Sometimes, sometimes not. Seasonal colourways often don't return; permanent print colourways usually do, but the wait can be 6+ months between batches. Sign up for product-level back-in-stock alerts on individual product pages.
What's the difference between New In and Bestsellers?
New In is the most recently added pieces (last 4-8 weeks). Bestsellers is the long-term most-loved pieces in the range. Some pieces appear in both for a few weeks after launch if they sell quickly.
Do New In pieces ever go on sale?
Rarely in the first few months. New pieces typically launch at full price and may join Best of the Sale after 6-12 months if a particular colourway needs to clear.
How are New In pieces made?
Every CYC piece, new or old, is handmade in Rajasthan by skilled artisans. Read about our block-printing craft in our Hand-Block-Printing field guide.
