In a hand-block-printing workshop, the print room is where the carved teak blocks live. Shelves of them, arranged by pattern, some cut decades ago and still in use. It's the quietest room in the building and the one everything else comes out of.
This is ours. A hand-picked selection of the bags, weekenders and travel sets we find ourselves reaching for — the prints that came out better than we hoped, the colourways we'd keep for ourselves, the pieces that get pulled off the shelf first when someone asks what to buy. It changes as our own favourites change.
Nothing here is a different grade from the rest of the range. Same makers, same workshops in Rajasthan, same hand-quilted construction. It's a shortlist, not a category.
Hand-block printing is a physical process — a carved block, dye, a wooden table, a person's arm. Some runs come out with a crispness and a depth of colour that's noticeably better than the batch average. Those are the ones that end up here.
We launch seasonal colourways alongside the permanent range: a particular pink in spring, a green in summer, a plum for autumn. Some of them turn out to be quietly perfect and deserve more attention than a seasonal slot gives them.
A weekender that actually fits a laptop and a change of clothes. A travel set that keeps a suitcase from becoming an archaeological dig. Some pieces earn their place here because of what they do rather than how they look.
Every piece we make carries small differences from every other piece: a print registration a millimetre out, a stitch line that wanders, colour saturation that shifts slightly between batches because the dye did. This is what hand-printing looks like up close, and it's the reason a block-printed bag doesn't look like a machine-printed one.
We mention it here because photographs flatten it out. What arrives will be recognisably the bag you chose and unmistakably not identical to the photograph. Most people find that's the part they end up liking.
If you're buying your first CYC piece and don't know where to start, start here. It's the shortest route to something you'll be happy with.
If you're buying a gift, the travel sets are the safest thing in the range — three coordinated pouches, no sizing to get wrong, and they work for someone who travels constantly or someone who never does.
If you're replacing something you already own and love, check the permanent range first — this page rotates, and a piece here may not be here next month. The full collection is always the complete picture.
Standard CYC returns apply to everything on this page: 14 days from delivery, unused and in its original packaging, return postage yours unless there's a fault. Nothing about being on this page changes your rights.
Every piece is hand-block printed and stitched by artisan families in Rajasthan, working with wooden blocks and techniques that have been passed down through generations. We work with the same workshops year after year rather than chasing the cheapest quote, which is the only version of this that actually helps anyone.

A hand-picked selection of pieces from across the CYC range — the ones we reach for and recommend first. It's a shortlist, not a separate product category.
Every few weeks, as new prints arrive and our own favourites shift. If you want the complete range rather than the shortlist, browse the full collection instead.
No. Same makers, same workshops in Rajasthan, same hand-block printing and hand-quilted construction. The only difference is that we picked them out.
Because it was printed by hand. Print registration, stitch lines and dye saturation all vary a little between pieces. That variation is the evidence of hand-craft, not a fault.
Yes — the standard 14-day policy applies. Unused, in its original packaging, return postage yours unless the piece is faulty.
A three-piece travel set. There's no sizing to get wrong, they suit almost anyone, and they arrive looking considerably more expensive than they are.
Cotton for everyday, for carrying a lot, and for anything that will be washed. Velvet for evenings, gifts and pieces you want to look special. We wrote a longer answer in Cotton or Velvet: How to Choose.
