A \"was\" price that never actually changes isn't a discount; it's a bigger number printed next to the real one to make the real one feel like a win. Our prices are our prices. When we do reduce something there's a reason for it and there's an end to it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch2\u003eWhat ends up here\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThree things, mostly:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eEnd-of-season colourways.\u003c\/strong\u003e We launch seasonal palettes alongside the permanent range — a particular pink in spring, a green in summer. When the season turns, what's left of that colourway is reduced to clear the shelf for the next one. The bag is identical in construction to its full-price sister; only the colour was seasonal.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eThe last of a batch.\u003c\/strong\u003e When a size or colourway is down to its final few, we'd rather move it than hold it. The gap between nearly sold out and completely sold out is the only moment a discount makes sense for both of us.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eRetired prints.\u003c\/strong\u003e Occasionally we stop making something — a supplier can no longer source a particular velvet, or we want to focus the range. That's what hand-printing looks like up close, and it's true of everything we sell at any price. Photographs flatten it.
